Dit privacybeleid legt uit welke gegevens Ontkurkt ("wij", "ons", "de app") verzamelt wanneer je de Ontkurkt-app of de website ontkurkt.app gebruikt, waarom we dat doen en welke keuzes je hebt.

1. Welke gegevens verzamelen we

Accountgegevens

Bij het aanmaken van een account verwerken we je naam en e-mailadres via onze inlogprovider (WorkOS). Je kunt optioneel een profielfoto en een korte bio toevoegen.

Wijngegevens die jij toevoegt

• Foto's van wijnetiketten die je maakt of uploadt;
• Wijnen in je kelder, wensenlijst en gedronken-lijst (inclusief jaargang en aantal);
• Je persoonlijke beoordelingen, proefnotities en drinkmomenten.

Sociale gegevens

Vriendschapsverzoeken en -relaties, en (indien je dit niet op privé zet) activiteit die zichtbaar is voor je vrienden.

Locatiegegevens (optioneel)

Als je daar toestemming voor geeft, leggen we bij het scannen van een fles, wijnkaart of wijnschap de locatie van je toestel vast, samen met de wijnen en (waar aanwezig) prijzen op de foto. Zo kunnen wijnprijzen per plek vergeleken worden. Dit is volledig optioneel: weiger of ontbreekt de toestemming, dan werkt het scannen gewoon en wordt er geen locatie bewaard. Je kunt de toestemming altijd intrekken via de instellingen van je toestel. Prijswaarnemingen (wijn, prijs, plek, moment) worden anoniem samengevat voor de gemeenschap; verwijder je je account, dan wordt de koppeling tussen jou en die waarnemingen verbroken.

Technische gegevens

• Een pushtoken (Apple Push Notification service of web-push) als je meldingen inschakelt;
• Basale technische logs die nodig zijn om de dienst te laten werken en te beveiligen.

2. Waarvoor gebruiken we je gegevens

• Om wijnetiketten te herkennen en wijninformatie te tonen;
• Om wijnprijzen per plek vergelijkbaar te maken (alleen met jouw locatietoestemming);
• Om je wijnkelder, wensen en drinkgeschiedenis te bewaren en te tonen;
• Om sociale functies mogelijk te maken (vrienden, gedeelde kelder, tijdlijn);
• Om je meldingen te sturen die je hebt ingeschakeld;
• Om de app te beveiligen, fouten op te sporen en te verbeteren.

3. Etiketherkenning met AI

Wanneer je een foto van een etiket maakt, sturen we die afbeelding naar Anthropic (Claude) om de wijngegevens uit te lezen. De afbeelding wordt uitsluitend gebruikt om dit verzoek te verwerken. We verkopen je foto's niet en gebruiken ze niet voor advertenties.

4. Met wie delen we gegevens

We verkopen je gegevens nooit. We delen gegevens alleen met dienstverleners die nodig zijn om de app te laten werken:

Daarnaast worden gegevens gedeeld met vrienden die je zelf toevoegt, en met je partner als je een gedeelde kelder start — voor zover je dat instelt. Met privémodus houd je je activiteit voor jezelf.

5. Bewaartermijn

We bewaren je gegevens zolang je een account hebt. Je kunt je account op elk moment verwijderen via Instellingen; daarbij worden je accountgegevens en wijngegevens verwijderd.

6. Jouw rechten

Je hebt het recht om je gegevens in te zien, te corrigeren of te laten verwijderen. Je verwijdert je account zelf in de app, of neemt contact met ons op via onderstaand adres.

7. Kinderen

Ontkurkt is bedoeld voor gebruikers die de wettelijke leeftijd hebben om alcohol te kopen in hun land. De app is niet bedoeld voor kinderen.

8. Wijzigingen

We kunnen dit privacybeleid bijwerken. De datum bovenaan geeft de laatste wijziging aan.

This privacy policy explains what data Ontkurkt ("we", "us", "the app") collects when you use the Ontkurkt app or the website ontkurkt.app, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

1. Data we collect

Account data

When you create an account we process your name and email address through our login provider (WorkOS). You may optionally add a profile picture and a short bio.

Wine data you add

• Photos of wine labels you take or upload;
• Wines in your cellar, wishlist and drunk list (including vintage and quantity);
• Your personal ratings, tasting notes and drink moments.

Social data

Friend requests and relationships, and (unless you enable private mode) activity that is visible to your friends.

Location data (optional)

With your permission, we record your device's location when you scan a bottle, a wine list or a wine shelf, together with the wines and (where present) prices in the photo. This makes wine prices comparable per place. It is entirely optional: if you decline or the permission is absent, scanning works as normal and no location is stored. You can revoke the permission at any time in your device settings. Price observations (wine, price, place, moment) are summarised anonymously for the community; if you delete your account, the link between you and those observations is severed.

Technical data

• A push token (Apple Push Notification service or web push) if you enable notifications;
• Basic technical logs needed to operate and secure the service.

2. How we use your data

• To recognise wine labels and show wine information;
• To make wine prices comparable per place (only with your location permission);
• To store and display your cellar, wishlist and drink history;
• To enable social features (friends, shared cellar, timeline);
• To send you notifications you have enabled;
• To secure, debug and improve the app.

3. AI-powered label recognition

When you take a photo of a label, we send that image to Anthropic (Claude) to read the wine details. The image is used solely to process that request. We do not sell your photos or use them for advertising.

4. Who we share data with

We never sell your data. We share data only with the service providers needed to run the app:

Data is also shared with friends you add yourself, and with your partner if you start a shared cellar — to the extent you choose. Private mode keeps your activity to yourself.

5. Data retention

We keep your data for as long as you have an account. You can delete your account at any time from Settings; this removes your account data and wine data.

6. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or delete your data. You can delete your account yourself in the app, or contact us at the address below.

7. Children

Ontkurkt is intended for users who are of legal drinking age in their country. The app is not directed at children.

8. Changes

We may update this privacy policy. The date at the top reflects the latest change.
